New Year’s Resolutions – Healthy Eating, Exercise & Supplements

It’s a brand new year, and many of us are getting started on our New Year’s Resolutions. If you’re like most people, health, and fitness is probably uppermost in your mind. The most common New Year’s Resolutions involve positive lifestyle changes: improving your diet, joining a gym, or taking up a sport, for example. Here are some changes you can make in January that will support your health all year round.

Healthy eating

After the holidays’ indulgences, it can be something of a relief to switch over to healthier options. Now is a great time to start ditching the foods that are holding back your health progress.

Switching refined starches for healthier alternatives doesn’t have to be a major effort. You can start by replacing white bread with whole-grain options. Whole-grain bread is both tastier than white and more filling, so you’ll fill up faster on fewer calories. You can replace white pasta with delicious, whole-grain alternatives as well.

Switching white rice for brown is another easy change with a lot of benefits. Brown rice has a nutty flavor and goes well with lots of different foods. It’s also packed with fiber, vitamins, and nutrients that are stripped from white rice.

Adding more fruit and vegetables to your diet is easy too. Fresh fruit makes a great snack. Chop an apple or pear and enjoy it with nuts or cheese as a delicious alternative to candy or chips. Pile your plate with fresh vegetables — especially leafy greens. Make sure you “eat the rainbow,” enjoying fruit and vegetables with different colors. These colors don’t just look appetizing — they’re produced by different vitamins and nutrients, meaning that eating a range of different-colored foods will give you a broader spectrum of vitamins, minerals, and carotenoids.

Exercise

Many people fear embarking on an exercise regime, picturing grueling gym sessions and hours spent jogging in the park. While more exercise is better, you don’t have to jump into the most taxing programs. If your current fitness level isn’t so great, it’s best to start with more moderate exercise, so you don’t risk overdoing it. Try to incorporate 20 or 30 minutes of brisk walking into your day and build up from there. You don’t even have to do it all at once. A quick walk in the morning and another in the evening will get you a long way towards your goals.

Supplements

Taking some quality supplements every day is one of the fastest and easiest ways to get the health boost you need. Look for supplements that will support your health both inside and out: formulations that include vitamins for immune system health and harness the health benefits of collagen and other proteins.

One excellent supplement range to try is Body Kitchen’s Immune Support Premium Kit. This includes Body Kitchen’s Vitamin C Shield, a NON-GMO formula that can help protect your system from toxins and unfavorable factors that can lower your immune response and harm your body. The kit also contains Mega NAC + Quercetin, a combination supplement with high-quality N-Acetyl Cysteine to support upper-respiratory health. To top it off, you’ll also get a supply of Body Kitchen Immune Shield, an immune-boosting combination of carefully selected herbs, nutrients, and Body Kitchen’s patented dried natural yeast.

Another great supplement to include is Body Kitchen’s peptide-fortified Youthful Beauty Collagen Powder. This high-quality collagen formulation has 30 times the amount of collagen dipeptides found in other collagen powders, making it easier for the body to break down and absorb more effectively. Collagen is the most abundant protein in our bodies and supports a variety of biological processes, from your circulation to your joints, skin and even your hair. Youthful Beauty also contains several anti-aging ingredients, such as resveratrol and hyaluronic acid to aid in cellular health.

The sooner you start making these changes, the sooner you’ll see results. Make this the year of the new you.
